In my last blog post, I discussed some of the troubles with feminism. While feminism is, very much like the world, imperfect–there are many ways that we can make it more inclusive, welcoming, and impactful.

Together, we can create a feminist leadership practice that…

  1. Is intersectional (see the work of Kimberlé Crenshaw)

  2. Values interconnectedness and complexity (see the work of AnaLousie Keating)

  3. Makes space for ambiguity and nuance (see the work of Gloria Anzaldúa)

  4. Welcomes multiplicity (see the work of Mariana Ortega)

  5. Recognizes the complex relations we each have to systems of oppression (see the work of Audre Lorde and Patricia Hill Collins)

  6. Includes but does not center the perspectives, needs, values, and goals, of White, middle- and upper-class, cis-gender, able-bodied, heterosexual women (see the work of the above referenced women)

  7. Recognizes challenges, but also creates possibilities

I’m creating a space where all of this will happen. Stay connected with Jesstopia to get notified when this new space is released!
